Welcome to the Hasselt beguinage visitor centre

The Hasselt beguines lived and worked in this beguinage from c. 1707 to 1886. Today, in this gatehouse, we are telling you the story of this special place.

On the ground floor, you'll find out more about the historical evolution of the beguinage, and you get to explore the beguinage at its peak in the 18th century. Upstairs, you'll get the chance to meet the Hasselt beguines.

Outside, the journey continues: follow the heritage panels or get carried away by the audio stories.
