A new tower for an open court

The historic beguinage church gave the site its special aura and was a prominent feature in the Hasselt skyline. The new tower restores the balance of this unique place. At 30 metres tall, it stands at the same height as the vanished beguinage church, once again marking the beguinage site as an important place in the city.  

The panoramic tower, constructed out of 270,000 bricks, invites you to experience the beguinage site and the city from above. Walk up the 145 steps — or take the lift — to a spot high above the city's rooftops. Explore your surroundings through the circular openings in the walls.
